Newberry Opera House

The Newberry Opera House is a performing arts center with productions throughout the year. Tours of the facility are available. The Opera House is located at 1201 McKibben Street and is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Newberry Community Players

For more than thirty years, the Newberry Community Players have presented the best in live theater at their home, the Ritz Theatre, an Art Deco movie palace on Main Street built in 1935-36. Newberry Community Choir

Under the direction of Mary Anne Davis Hayes, the choir has two major performances each year. An Easter cantata is presented during the week before Holy week (ending on Palm Sunday). A Christmas program is presented in early December. Performances are at the Ritz Theater on Main Street in Newberry at 8:00 PM with a matinee on Sunday at 3:00 PM.
